Background
On April 2, 2021, the Village of Oak Park Police Department submitted a request for proposals from qualified firms that wished to manage and administer a program for towing services. Two companies submitted proposals. The two agencies were (1) Area Towing, Inc., 1401 N. 1st Avenue, Melrose Park, IL, and (2) O'Hare Towing Inc., 2700 Division St., Melrose Park, IL.
O'Hare Towing has previously provided towing services to the Village. The Police Department solicited feedback from staff regarding O'Hare's performance as it related to customer service and satisfaction. O'Hare Towing received a favorable rating from operations personnel.
