Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

The Community and Economic Development Association of Cook County (CEDA) is managing a Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to help qualifying low income water utility customers who reside in Cook County from avoiding water service disconnections due to delinquent water account balances. This program provides eligible customers up to a one-time $1,500 assistance payment.

Background

The Community and Economic Development Corporation of Cook County (CEDA) is providing Cook County municipalities who provide water utility service an opportunity to participate in its Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP).  For those water utility customers who qualify based on income levels, up to a one time $1,500 payment per customer will be paid to the Village in order to help prevent water shut off to customers unable to pay delinquent water account balances.

 

Specific information and details are provided in the attached CEDA Presentation and Flyer which includes the income guidelines as well as other pertinent information about the program.
