Fiscal Impact
The Village Board approved the agreement for a not to exceed amount of $73,450.00. The change order in the amount of $2,950.00 will bring the amended not to exceed agreement amount to $76,400.00. The change order will be expensed to GL# 5060.43770.783.570707.

Background
The elevator on the second level of the OPRF High School parking structure is not adequately sheltered, with machinery and equipment exposed to inclement weather conditions throughout the year. This exposure contributes to numerous malfunctions, necessitating continual repairs to the elevator equipment. As part of the ongoing parking structure maintenance program outlined in the FY21 - 25 Capital Improvement Plan, an enclosure was proposed to be constructed adjacent to the northeast elevator/stair tower on the second level of the structure.
Design and construction management services for this project were estimated by staff to be less than $10,000.00. Pursuant to the Village's Purchasing Policy, staff requested bids from three (3) structural engineering firms. On March 23, 2021, the Village Manager executed a Professional Services Agreement with Walker Consultants, Inc. for design and construction management services in an amount not to exceed $8,600.00.
