Background
This is a successor agreement and memorandum of understanding following a three-year contract which was in place from January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2021. The wages have been negotiated for the duration of the contract term from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024. Changes to the contract include adjustments to the hours that SEIU employees may be scheduled to work, the incorporation of a cross-training program into the collective bargaining agreement and the adoption of Juneteenth as a paid holiday. Updates to the employee uniform program have also been made within this collective bargaining agreement.
The memorandum of understanding addresses a one-time correction of SEIU employee wages designed to keep pace with current market conditions.
