Fiscal Impact
As part of the FY 2022 Budget, the Village budgeted $10,000 in line item 1001.46260.101.530667 for this project. If the Board wants to proceed with the project, a budget amendment will be presented for $20,260 in additional funds from the fund balance.

Background
As part of the Board Goals, the Board wanted to pursue obtaining a feasibility study for a sustainability incubator project. In the FY2022 Budget, the Board budgeted $10,000 for the feasibility study.

On October 28, 2021, Deputy Village Manager Zayyad and Director Grossman met with Trustee Parakkat to discuss what a Request for Proposals/Qualifications would include to determine the feasibility of a sustainability incubator project. Based on that meeting, it was discussed that the basic idea of the sustainability incubator project is a place and/or program where entrepreneurs may work on sustainable startup concepts and/or individuals could receive training to allow them to embark on careers involving sustainability.

On February 28, 2022, the Village Board reviewed the Request for Proposal and authorized its issuance.
