Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Fiscal Impact
The Fiscal Year 2022 Street Services budget contains $110,000.00 to perform street sweeping services in the General Contractual account no., 1001-43740-761-530660. $40,000.00 is currently unencumbered in the account to cover street sweeping services for the remainder of 2022.

The proposed Fiscal Year 2023 budget contains a request for $150,000.00 for these services in the General Contractual account no., 1001-43740-761-530660

Background
One of the responsibilities of the Public Works Department is to sweep the streets. This work over the last ten years has been completed by a contractor working for the Village. There are approximately 250 lane miles of streets that need to be swept regularly. Business districts and main street roadways are typically swept 16 times a year. Residential streets are typically swept eight times a year. The proposed contract is for eight sweepings plus the fall leaf pickup operation sweeping. The first year of the contract would be for 16 months to adjust the contract to our annual budget cycle ending December 31, 2023, with an option for two additional one-year renewals.
