On November 17, 2022, the Village Board reviewed a request from Housing Forward for $300,000 over a two-year period to establish an overnight emergency shelter for a two-year period starting January 1, 2023 using American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds.

Background

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Housing Forward was forced to close its rotating overnight drop-in shelter, Housing Forward is requesting funds to re-establish that shelter for a two-year period starting January 1, 2023.
