Recommendation
Adopt the Resolution.

Background
In 2011 with financial support from The Chicago Community Trust and the Harris Family Foundation, four organizations (Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, West Cook County Housing Collaborative, Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, and the Metropolitan Planning Council) collaborated on a housing policy action plan for the communities of Bellwood, Berwyn, Forest Park, Maywood, and Oak Park.

The plan looks at current (2012) and projected housing data for the five communities and provides recommendations for moving forward with strategic housing decisions. This 2012 document has been used extensively as a guide for new housing development as well as assessing and determining affordability and inclusionary goals for the Village. Now that the Village is past the ten-year mark, it is time to review and update the housing data for future policy and action opportunities.

Fiscal Impact
The Village Board approved a budget line item for this project in the amount not to exceed $75,000. Account # 1001.46202.101.530667
