Background

The agreement has changes that include adding the Juneteenth holiday and a change in the clothing allowance.

Fiscal Impact

The contract is for a three-year term with a 2.5% general wage increase annually.  In addition, revisions were made to the step structure which is a program to recognize employees who achieve professional certifications related to fleet maintenance.  By adjusting the step program by removing two steps from the top and adding two steps to the bottom, existing employees who are at the top step have an opportunity to receive added compensation for achieving professional certifications.
