Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Prior Board Action

On September 16, 2025, the Village Board considered a resolution to approve agreement amendment 5 with MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2) for Community Choice Aggregation program. Trustees indicated a concern related to the parent company, Interstate Gas Supply, LLC (IGS) which has conducted some door to door solicitation in the Village and requested staff pursue an agreement with IGS to cease solicitation prior to amending the agreement with mc2.

Background

On September 16, 2025, the Village Board considered a resolution to approve agreement amendment 5 with MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2) for Community Choice Aggregation program. Trustees indicated a concern related to the parent company, Interstate Gas Supply, LLC (IGS) which has conducted some door to door solicitation in the Village and requested staff pursue an agreement with IGS to cease solicitation prior to amending the agreement with mc2.

Village Staff have worked with ICCAN and mc2 and have an agreement signed by Yoni Zofan, Vice President of Sales Optimization with IGS, that IGS Energy agrees not to conduct door-to-door solicitation activity in the Village during the term of the Municipal Electric Aggregation Program so long as mc2 is the aggregation supplier.

Timing Considerations

The Village's current agreement with MC2 expires in December 2025.

Staff Recommendation

Staff recommends approving the resolution.

Advantages:

                     The Village will have an agreement with IGS that they will not conduct door-to-door residential electricity sales activities within the Village of Oak Park, Illinois, during the term, both current and any future extensions thereof, of the Village of Oak Park Municipal Electric Aggregation Program for which MC2 is the electricity supplier.

Disadvantages:

                     There are no disadvantages to this recommendation.
