Background
Clerical updates are being proposed to non-union positions in order to align job titles which are currently used with the job classification titles listed in the related appendices to the Personnel Manual.

These positions are Street Superintendent, Street Supervisor, Water & Sewer Superintendent, Water & Sewer Supervisor, Forestry Superintendent, Fleet Services Superintendent, Building Maintenance Superintendent, Public Works Office Manager and Environmental Services Manager. The compensation plan consists of two components. The amount of funding provided annually for distribution and how to distribute the funds equitably. Annual average funding for the purpose of this compensation plan is $15,000.

Based on the above historical summary the proposed total compensation is $15,000 for an average winter of 25 snow events, however, total compensation will vary up or down based on the severity of the winter and will be at the discretion of the Village Manager upon recommendation of the Public Works Director.
The proposed maximum compensation annual budget for this plan will be $20,000. The determination of the actual amount of compensation will be determined using total number of snow events, percent of time each manager spent working the snow shifts outside of normal working hours. The disbursement of the compensation will be made on or around the first payroll in May once the final winter events have been completed.
