Recommendation

Approve the Resolution.

Background

At the February 6, 2023, Village Board meeting, the Village Board approved three Master Agreements with three different architectural and engineering firms to complete architectural and engineering design work for the Village’s CIP Building Improvement Fund projects.  Cordogan Clark & Associates is one of the three architectural and engineering firms with a Master Agreement approved by the Village Board for completing projects via a task order procurement process.

Cordogan Clark has submitted a proposal to conduct PCAs for the Public Works Center and Village Hall, and to complete energy audits at the Public Works Center, Village Hall, main and south fire stations (the north fire station energy audit is already underway with a different firm) and three water pumping stations. If approved, the total amount of the task order would not exceed $106,450.00.  These PCAs and energy audits will help staff develop and prioritize the Building Improvement Fund capital projects moving forward.

Fiscal Impact

The Fiscal Year 2023 CIP Building Improvement Fund Budget account no. 3012-43790-101-540673 includes $80,000 to conduct energy audits at various Village-owned buildings, and $25,000 to conduct PCAs for the Public Works Center and Village Hall.  There are unencumbered funds in the account to cover the $1,500.00 not included in the original budget estimate.
