Introduction

The Village and the Village of Forest Park each maintain fleets of specialized vehicles and equipment. At times, one agency requires a vehicle or piece of equipment that the other already has available. The Village of Forest Park is willing to formalize this cooperative arrangement through an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA). The attached IGA is presented for authorization.

Background
The Village of Oak Park and the Village of Forest Park have long operated under an informal practice of sharing vehicles and equipment. To prevent future misunderstandings and formalize this cooperative relationship, both organizations collaborated to develop the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) now under consideration.
