Background
Brewpoint seeks the issuance of a Restaurant Class B-1 liquor license for the property located at 163 S. Oak Park Avenue. The property was previously occoupied by Live 2.0!, LLC, DBA Live Café, which also maintained a Restaurant Class B-1 liquor license at the location. Brewpoint will have table seating for approximately 24 persons and will offer a menu of various food options and specialty coffee beverages. The ownership of Brewpoint has three other locations in Elmhurst.
At its special meeting of May 1, 2021, the Liquor Control Review Board (“LCRB”) found that Brewpoint met all of the applicable requirements for the issuance of a B-1 license and voted to unanimously recommend that the license be issued. Prior to the issuance of the license, the Village Code must be amended to include Brewpoint as a B-1 licensee.
