Background
On February 3, 2014, the Village Board adopted an Ordinance establishing a new Craft Brewery Class D-15 Liquor License classification. On November 17, 2014, the Village Board adopted an ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance to allow craft breweries as a special use in the Village's B-1/B-2 General Business Districts and a permitted use in the C Commercial District. At that same meeting, the Board adopted an Ordinance granting a special use permit for a craft brewery at the Property. The last step in the process to allow Noble Kinsman to open for business at the Property is the issuance of a liquor license. At its meeting on February 24, 2015, the Liquor Control Review Board ("LCRB") unanimously recommended that a Class D-15 Liquor License be issued to Noble Kinsman.
Alternatives
The Village Board could seek additional information or deny the requested Ordinance approval and corresponding license.
Previous Board Action
As set forth above, the Village Board previously adopted ordinances establishing a Craft Brewery Liquor License classification, amending the Zoning Ordinance to allow craft breweries as special use in the Village's B-1/B2 General Business Districts and a permitted use in the C Commercial District and granting a special use permit for the Property.
Citizen Advisory Commission Action
Noble Kinsman's liquor license application was reviewed and recommended for approval by the LCRB as set forth above.
