Adopt the resolution.
Prior Board Action
The Board has taken the following prior action(s):
• The Board adopted the first of two one-year renewals with Concentra Health Centers on October 14, 2026.
• The Board adopted a three-year Professional Services Agreement with Concentra Health Centers on September 6, 2022
Background
Concentra serves as the Village’s occupational health provider, which includes conducting pre-employment physicals, worksite injury evaluation and treatment, Department of Transportation random drug and alcohol screening, and other occupational health-related services. The Village most recently selected Concentra through a Request for Proposals for occupational health services in 2022. This is the final one-year extension available following a three-year Professional Services Agreement (PSA) in 2022. In accordance with the original PSA, cost increases are capped by the regional Consumer Price Index (CPI) and reflect a 2.5% increase over contractual rates from the 2025-2026 extension. The Village has been satisfied with Concentra’s service. High-quality occupational health services are a critical component of ensuring worker health and safety.
Timing Considerations
The Village’s current extension expired on September 6, 2026.
Financial Impact
Costs associated with the use of Concentra are consistent with the current adopted budget and typically are paid through Account No. 1001.41080.101.530646 (Pre-employment Testing) and Account No. 1001.41080.101.560652 (Employee Physicals).

Staff Recommendation
Adopt the resolution for a one-year renewal of the professional services agreement with Concentra for occupational health services.
Advantages:
• Concentra provides high-quality occupational health services.
• A one-year extension prevents service disruption.
Disadvantages:
• By not conducting an RFP at this time, it is unknown if the Village could receive high-quality services at lower costs from an alternative provider.
Alternatives
Alternative 1:
The Board could direct staff to conduct an RFP for occupational health services.
Advantages:
• This ensures the Village is receiving high-quality services at market rates.
Disadvantages:
• A transition of service providers may delay pre-employment physicals for new employees as they onboard or disrupt services for employees injured in the workplace.
