This is a successor collective bargaining agreement that covers the employees who work in various positions at Village Hall and in the Forestry Division at Public Works. This action also includes a Side Letter of Agreement for the same period regarding longevity and market wage adjustments.

Background
The Village and the Union reached a tentative agreement for a successor contract that would expire on December 31, 2027. The terms and conditions are outlined in the collective bargaining agreement, which will become a public document once the Village Board approves the Resolution.
This action also includes a Side Letter of Agreement for the same period regarding necessary market and longevity adjustments to address Village recruitment and retention efforts.
Timing Considerations
The Village and the Union reached a tentative agreement on February 26, 2026. This is the Village Board’s opportunity to formally approve the contract and create a final executed agreement.
Financial Impact
The annual budget includes salaries and benefits as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement for the Sergeants.

There is no operating impact associated with this item. The item aligns with the department’s core service delivery. The Village and the Union have been in negotiations since April 2025.
