Background

The Village of Oak Park, as an Entitlement Community, receives an annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and uses the funds for locally determined projects. In Program Year (PY) 2021 HUD awarded $1,653,543.00. The Village is limited to allocating 15% of the total CDBG allocation to Public Services and 20% to Administration. The Community Development Citizen Advisory Commission (CDCAC) reviews the applications and makes recommendations annually to the Village Board for their approval.
