Prior Board Action

This is a continuation of a discussion with the Finance Committee on the proposed FY 26 CIP plan.

Background

As part of the annual budget process, the Finance Committee presents a staff-recommended five-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Upon adoption by the Board, only the first year of the CIP will be formally appropriated as part of the FY26 operating budget.

To support informed decision-making, alternative scenarios of the five-year CIP have been developed for the Finance Committee’s review. These scenarios subdivide the plan and its projects based on their essentiality, providing greater clarity on the potential impacts of prioritizing critical versus discretionary investments.

The scenarios include the recommendation made by the Fiannce Committee during their last review of the CIP and are listed below:

$2,250,000                       Increase for the purchase of a Fire Department Ladder Truck

                     $75,000                      Decrease for Document Scanning

$200,000                     Decrease for North Ave. Gateway

$100,00                      Decrease for North Ave. Streetscape Design

$521,000                      Decrease for Public Works Fleet Vehicle Replacement

$120,000                      Decrease for Administration Fleet Replacement

$624,550                      Decrease for Public Works Center MEPS Work

$70,000                      Decrease for Public Works Center Overhead Door Replacement

$70,000                      Decrease for Public Works Center Bird Deterrent Window Film

$60,000                      Decrease for Public Works Center LED Lighting Upgrades

$50,000                      Decrease for Public Works Center Emergency Panel Upgrades

$55,000                      Decrease for Fire Station One Rear Apron Replacement
