Staff negotiated a successor Collective Bargaining Agreement with the International Association of Firefighters Local 95. This item authorizes the Village Manager to execute the Agreement. The current contract expires December 31, 2015.

Wages and benefits related to this agenda item are budgeted annually in the Personnel Services account for the Fire Department.
Background
The last Agreement expired December 31, 2015. This is the successor Agreement. This contract covers those employees who are Fire Fighter-Paramedics and Lieutentants. The general wage increase negotiated in this agreement is 2.5% in 2016 and 2.5% in 2017. Overall the Village has nine collective bargaining agreements for the workforce. The Side Letter is a related item also negotiated during the term of this agreement related to wages and benefits. The members of this collective bargaining agreement have ratified this agreement. This is the final step in which the Village Manager seeks authorization from the Village Board to enter into this agreement.
