Background
On September 16, 2025, the Village Board considered a resolution to approve agreement amendment 5 with MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc2) for Community Choice Aggregation program. Trustees indicated a concern related to the parent company, Interstate Gas Supply, LLC (IGS) which has conducted some door to door solicitation in the Village and requested staff pursue an agreement with IGS to cease solicitation prior to amending the agreement with mc2.
Village Staff have worked with ICCAN and mc2 and have an agreement signed by Yoni Zofan, Vice President of Sales Optimization with IGS, that IGS Energy agrees not to conduct door-to-door solicitation activity in the Village during the term of the Municipal Electric Aggregation Program so long as mc2 is the aggregation supplier.
