Pursuant to the Village Board discussion on May 7, 2018, staff was asked to prepare the necessary actions to remove I-Gov from the Village Board’s Protocols as a Village Board Committee.

The resolution also provides that Village funds shall not be appropriated or expended to provide support to I-Gov, including any prospective cost sharing to reimburse staff time currently provided by Oak Park Elementary School District No. 97 as administrative support to I-Gov related to the preparation of agendas, minutes and event planning.
Background
Pursuant to the Village Board discussion on May 7, 2018, there Village Board expressed consensus that I-Gov should not be treated as a Village Board committee and therefore subject to the Open Meetings Act. Staff was asked to prepare the necessary actions to remove I-Gov from the Village Board’s Protocols as a Village Board Committee.
Staff has prepared an amendment to the Village Board’s Protocols removing I-Gov as a Village Board Committee. The Resolution also discontinues the further of Village funds to provide support to I-Gov.
Alternatives
The Village Board could delay discussion until another date.

The 2017-2019 Village Board Protocols were adopted on January 22, 2018.
