Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Every year the Village Board reviews and approves a work plan for each Citizen Commission.

Each Commission has a staff liaison to assist the commission with following the policies outlined in the Chairperson's manual and various other policies such as compliance with the Open Meetings Act and purchasing policies of the Village.

Fiscal Impact
Historically the Village budget sets aside a sum of money for all Commissions to share. Each work plan also identifies costs associated with each potential work plan item. This year's 2022 budget for all of the Commissions in total is $20,000 in budget account 1001.41020.101.530662.

The staff liaison to each Commission is responsible for managing any purchases or contracts that may be related to a Commission work plan item and following the same purchasing requirements as other village expenses.

Background
This is an annual agenda item in which each Commission creates a work plan in accordance with their enabling ordinance and submits the draft for Village Board review. Approved work plans are then posted on the Village website and are used to establish the monthly meeting agendas.

Regarding the Transportation Commission, there are 2 revisions staff is recommending as described below.
A. "Review update of Village's Neighborhood Greenway (NG) plan and its implementation": As discussed at the September 27, 2021 Finance Committee meeting and at the November 11, 2021 Village Board meeting, staff recommends removing this item as based on Village Board discussion there is a desire to implement more dedicated or protected bike lanes as compared to the neighborhood greenways or bike boulevard network.
