Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Competitive bids were opened on August 15, 2024 for the pavement preservation project. The Village received one (1) bid for the project with the lowest qualified bid from R.W. Dunteman Company in an amount of $572,340. The low bid is within $3,000 of the engineer's estimate for the project and represents a competitive bid. Staff recommends awarding a contract for this project to R.W. Dunteman Company. The project involves pavement patching, crack filling, microsurfacing, and pavement rejuvenators on local streets throughout the Village.

Background
The 2024 pavement preservation project includes crack filling, pavement patching, microsurfacing, and pavement rejuvenators on various local streets throughout the Village. Microsurfacing is an ultra-thin overlay around 1/4" thick on roadways used to help seal the pavement, smooth out any rutting, and provide a new driving surface to extend the life of the underlying pavement by around 5-7 years. Asphalt rejuvenator is a liquid emulsion sprayed on the roads to restore and preserve the durability and flexibility of asphalt. The Village received one bid for this project from R.W. Dunteman Company. he low bid of $572,340 is near the engineer's estimate of $575,314.

This year's project includes patching and microsurfacing on Harrison Street from Ridgeland to Austin. A map showing the project locations is attached.
