Overview
The first reading of this ordinance was held at the November 2, 2015 Village Board meeting. An annual review of the expenses and revenues associated with the public parking system has been completed by staff. Based on the discussion from the October 22, 2015 Finance Committee meetings, rate increases to the permit fees are recommended.

Fiscal Impact
The proposed FY 2016 Parking Fund recommended budget includes a proposed overall 2.5% increase to revenues in the Parking Fund. This would amount to a $10 increase to annual on-street employee daytime permit zones and a $5 increase to the monthly garage rates, annual on-street residential daytime permit zones, and quarterly permits fees for parking structures, off-street lots and on-street overnight parking zones.
Background
An annual review has been completed by staff of the expenses and revenues associated with the public parking system. As a result, a modest rate increase is proposed for the monthly garage rates, annual residential daytime permit zones and quarterly parking permit rates.
1. Increase the annual on-street employee daytime permit zone rate on January 1, 2016 from $100 per year to $110 per year.
2. Increase the parking garage monthly parking rates for twenty four (24) hour parking in the Holley Court and Avenue garages on January 1, 2016 from $120 per month to $125 per month.
3. Increase the annual on-street residential daytime permit zone rate on January 1, 2016 from $55 per year to $60 per year.
