Fiscal Impact
All fees have been reviewed and updated consistent with the adopted FY22 budget. Wages have also been reviewed and fixed in accordance with the applicable employee collective bargaining agreement.
Background
On January 28, 2019, the Village Board updated Chapter 30 of the Municipal Code, Special Events to provide that annually the Vaillage shall issue a fee schedule for Village personnel, services and equipment required for a special event pursuant to this sectionas approved by the Board of Trustees. The Code provides such schedule shall be based upon the Village's then current adopted budget, applicable employee wages and benefits as determined by the then current applicable collective bargaining agreement and appointee pay plan schedule for Villge employees. A recommended 2022 schedule is attached which will also includes prior years' information. Collective bargaining for successor contracts remain in effect with our Police patrol union. Should rates be impacted by ratitfication and adoption of collective bargaining agreements, staff will bring forward to the Village Board, revised special event fees.
Upon review, special event fees related to police and fire hourly rates were incorrectly calculated and approved for the 2021 calendar year.
