Recommendation

Recommendation

If directed by the Village Board, staff will propose a program similar to the one for the Village’s existing COVID-19 business recovery grants by which a standard amount could be sought by   day cares upon receipt of recquired documentation.

Fiscal Impact

A standard amount, similar to the business recovery program, will be recommended after staff contacts the Early Childhood Collaboration to understand the need.

Background

As noted above, if the Village Board directs, staff will contact the Early Childhood Collaboration to understand the needs expressed by the day cares and will recommend a program similar to theone of the COVID-19 business recovery programs.  The Village Board would then review a draft program for adoption at the April 11, 2022 special meeting.
