Overview
Overview
In April of 2014, the Village entered into a contract with CityEscape Garden & Design LLC for the 2014 Commercial District Planter Program. The contract was renewed under the terms of the contract for the 2015 season. It is proposed to increase the contract by $20,000 (from $75,000 to $95,000) for additional work. Specially, to add work in the planter beds and medians on the east end of Lake Street, planter beds at the east end of Madison Street, including at Austin, Harrison Street planter beds and Roosevelt Road.

Body
Staff Recommendation
Approval.

Fiscal Impact
The FY 2015 General Fund, Forestry Budget, account number 1001-43800-742-530660, General Contractuals, provides $125,000.00 for this work. This amendment is still within the original budget amount totaling the agreement with CityEscape to $95,000.00.

Background
In 2014, Proposals were received for the Village's Commercial District Planter Program. The qualified low bidder was CityEscape. They did an excellent job in 2014 and the Board approved a renewal of the contract per the contract specification for 2015. CityEscape has continued their excellent work in the 2015 season. Staff have requested additional enhancements be done in some business district planters outside the scope of the original contract amount.

Alternatives
The Board can delay action to gain additional information.
