This is an agreement that covers the employees who work in the Street Lighting Division in the Public Works Department. This agreement is the result of a wage reopener bargained in 2021 which included a salary freeze for FY21 due to financial uncertainty related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background

This agreement is the result of a wage reopener bargained in 2021 which included a salary freeze for FY21 and subsequent years of contract due to financial uncertainty related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The wages have been negotiated for the duration of the contract term from January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2024. In addition to wages, Juneteenth has also been adopted as a paid holiday and an employee uniform program has been formalized within the collective bargaining agreement.
