Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Street Lighting Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining, repairing and upgrading the street traffic control systems in the Village. Traffic Control Corporation is the sole source supplier of the needed materials and parts which necessitates a waiver of the Village's bid process for the agreement.

Background
The materials being purchased through this agreement are to replace the existing Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) batteries and Upgraded Malfunction Management Unit's (MMU) from the sole source qualified vendor, based on the availability and quality of the material. The new MMU's and UPS replace the units that are out of the service / recertification period to the latest model. Traffic Control Corporation has provided pricing for all the materials. This vendor is the sole source provider and has been providing traffic control materials to the Village for many years. In-house Street Lighting Division staff will install the equipment.

Fiscal Impact
The Fiscal Year 2023 Main Capital Improvement Fund budget includes $45,000 in account # 3095-43780-101-570971 (Capital Projects, Traffic Signal Management) for street traffic signal controller and detection equipment replacement.
