Background
Little Gem seeks the issuance of a Restaurant Class B-1 liquor license for the property located at 187 N. Marion Street to be operated as Encore by Little Gem. Little Gem has been in business under its present ownership for approximately 8 years at its current location at 189 N. Marion Street as a full-service restaurant serving lunch, dinner, and brunch. Encore by Little Gem will be located next door at 187 N. Marion Street and will have a separate bar and dining room. Encore will be open for lunch and dinner and will be available for private parties and special events. Both dining rooms will be connected by a food service window and will share the same kitchen, menu, and staff.

At its special meeting of March 17, 2022, the Liquor Control Review Board ("LCRB") found that Little Gem met all of the applicable requirements for the issuance of a B-1 license and voted to unanimously recommend that the license be issued.
