Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

The Fiscal Year 2026 Fleet Replacement Fund includes the replacement of one (1) 2014 Ford Expedition. The planned vehicle will be a 2026 Ford F-250 Pickup Truck, with an ESI Apparatus Division Fire-specific cap build and truck upgrades. ESI is the sole-source provider of RRU Body Inserts.

Prior Board Action
The Village Board approved funding for this vehicle/equipment replacement as part of the Fiscal Year 2026 Capital Improvement Budget on December 9, 2025 (ORD-25-220).
Background
This vehicle is considered an emergency response vehicle, and the consequences of its downtime could compromise the safety of citizens and those who work in the village. The upfit will enhance the Fire Department's ability to provide emergency services to the residents of the Village of Oak Park and the surrounding communities.
The upfit to the vehicle will be a marked improvement over the SUV being replaced. The vendor is a Fire equipment specialist, building this unit to the specifications supplied by the Village Fire Department to better suit our needs.
Each year, the Village allocates funds for the annual replacement of vehicles in the Fleet Replacement Fund. The Public Works Department manages the budget for vehicles that will replace units that have reached the end of their service life under the fleet replacement program.
The intent of the fleet replacement program is to replace vehicles and equipment using the established criteria for replacement of fleet vehicles/equipment, including the age of vehicle/year purchased, mileage or hours, type of use (full-time, seasonal, emergency, ...
