Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Overview
The Village currently uses a temporary services agency to provide lobby desk coverage at Village Hall. While originally intended to be short-term in nature and approved under the Village Manager's spending authority, staff have identified a need for the temporary employee to remain with the Village through January 2024 until a permanent AVM/Neighborhood Services Director can be hired and make the selection for the permanent Welcome Center Coordinator.

Background
The Village uses a number of temporary services agencies to provide temporary employees during times of staffing shortage. The Village currently has a contractor services agreement with Lee Hecht Harrison Recruitment Solutions to provide a temporary employee who works at the lobby desk of Village Hall. Originally, staff intended the temporary employee to be short-term in nature and a contract was approved under the Village Manager's spending authority. Subsequently, with the Village Board's approval of a reorganization of Development Services and Neighborhood Services, staff identified the need for the temporary employee to remain in place until the Assistant Village Manager/Neighborhood Services Director can be hired and make the selection for a permanent Welcome Center Coordinator who will fulfill this role and provide additional administrative support to the Neighborhood Partnerships Division and the Neighborhood Services Department as a whole.
