Referral of a Zoning Ordinance map amendment application to change the zoning of the property located at 117 S. Lombard Avenue from R-3 Single-Family District to R-7 Multiple-Family District in order to allow a three-flat use on the property.

Background
The subject property is located directly south of the Village of Oak Park's Public Works Center in a Zoning District classified as R-3 Single-Family. The property is improved with a 3-story brick building with basement. The building was originally used by the Chicago Rapid Transit Company as a substation for the CTA. Over time the property was converted to an artist's studio plus a residence pursuant to a text amendment/special use application.

Alternatives
The Village Board may refer this application to any appointed or elected commission or committee, including but not limited to the Plan Commission, for the purpose of holding a public hearing thereon pursuant to Section 2.2.5 of the Zoning Ordinance.
