Background
D&D Shack LLC seeks a Restaurant Class B-1 Liquor License. This license would permit D&D Shack to sell and serve alcoholic liquor for consumption onsite during business operations. D&D Shack, located at 7007 W North Avenue, is a new business that intends to open their doors soon.
At the June 23, 2026 Liquor Control Review Board ("LCRB") meeting, the LCRB unanimously voted to recommend that D&D Shack be granted a B-1 license.
Timing Considerations
If approved, D&D Shack would be able to receive their liquor license at the moment its business license is issued, and it is ready to open its doors for business.
Financial Impact
There is no budget impact associated with this item.
Operations Impact
The Law Department and Development Services Department are primarily responsible for this item. A public meeting was held on June 23, 2026, that was attended by Development Services and Law Department Staff. The Law Department spends approximately five (5) hours on each liquor license application, which includes preparing meeting minutes and LCRB packets, sending LCRB emails, and attending public hearings.
