Adopt the Ordinance.

Background
Eleven-Thirty Chicago, Inc., DBA Penny's Oak Park ("Penny's Oak Park") seeks a Restaurant Class B-1 liquor license for its location at 1130 Chicago Avenue. Penny's Oak Park previously held a Class B-2 liquor license. Penny's Oak Park has determined that a Class B-1 liquor license which allows for the consumption of all alcoholic liquors would better serve its customers. The Board originally adopted Ordinance 23-85 granting Penny's Oak Park the B-2 liquor license it currently holds.

Section 3-8-1 of Article 8 needs to be amended to change Penny's Oak Park liquor license classification from a B-2 license to a B-1 license. In addition, Section 3-8-2 of Article 8 needs to be amended to the liquor license by name and addresses to reflect Penny's current liquor license classification. At its June 25, 2024 regular meeting, the Liquor Control Review Board ("LCRB") unanimously voted to recommend that the Ordinance be adopted and that Penny's Oak Park be granted a Class B-1 liquor license.
