Overview
The Engineering Division requested a proposal from Edwin Hancock Engineering Co. to provide construction engineering for the 24-2 Resurfacing of Various Streets Project. Edwin Hancock has previously managed local street resurfacing projects in the Village and is most qualified to perform these services. Construct work is planned to start in August and be completed in November.

Background
The Engineering Division requested a proposal from Edwin Hancock Engineering to provide construction engineering services for the 24-2 Resurfacing of Various Streets Project. Edwin Hancock has previously completed construction engineering for similar local street resurfacing projects in the Village and has done an excellent job at a competitive rate and is best qualified to perform this work. Edwin Hancock is one of the four engineering consulting firms with a Master Agreement approved by the Village Board for doing projects via a task order procurement process.
The 24-2 Resurfacing of Various Streets construction project includes resurfacing of approximately 17 blocks throughout the Village and also includes numerous traffic calming and safety improvements at various intersections being resurfaced and Neighborhood Greenway bike improvements on Kenilworth from Madison to Chicago Avenue and on Erie Street and Elizabeth Court since these streets are being resurfaced with this project.
