Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Background
The Grove seeks the issuance of a Restaurant Class B-4 liquor license for the property located at 107 S. Marion Street. The Grove will be a restaurant serving small plates, flatbreads, family style pizza, and pasta through the sharing of a kitchen with the adjacent Betty's Pizza and Pasta.

The Grove and Betty's Pizza and Pasta will be both be operated by the same ownership, Kettlestrings Kitchen & Tap, Inc. ("Kettlestrings"). Kettlestrings currently operates Kettlestrings Tavern at 800 S. Oak Park Avenue, which has been in operation since March 2020. The Grove plans to offer high end spirits, wines and quality cocktails to complement its food offerings.

At its special meeting of September 9, 2021, the Liquor Control Review Board ("LCRB") found that The Grove met all of the applicable requirements for the issuance of a B-4 license and voted to unanimously recommend that the license be issued. Prior to the issuance of the license, the Village Code must be amended to include The Grove as a B-4 licensee.
