Overview
Each year to celebrate Bastille Day, Careful Peach Boutique requests the use of two (2) parking spaces in Lot 10 at the corner of Marion Street and North Blvd for a one-day event. Since the Village owns Lot 10, we enter into a Temporary License Agreement allowing Careful Peach Boutique the use of the parking spaces. This year the event is on July 10, 2021.

Fiscal Impact
The License Agreement includes a $40 fee, in accordance with the Village’s right of way obstruction permit for metered parking spaces, and requires the Licensee to obtain appropriate insurance, including indemnifying the Village.
Background
The Careful Peach Boutique requested the use of two (2) parking spaces in Lot 10, adjacent to the store frontage to place a food truck and walk-up access for a Bastille Day 2021 Event.

Direct staff to look for an alternative location.
Previous Board Action
The Village Board has approved of a temporary license agreement with Careful Peach for a similar event in 2020, 2019, 2018, and 2017.
