Background
Medicova, LLC, DBA Rustico ("Rustico") has operated a restaurant at 722 Lake Street since March 2017. Rustico is moving from its current location at 722 Lake Street to 155 S. Oak Park Avenue, which was formerly occupied by Hamburger Mary's. Rustico has created a new corporate entity known as Sistar 5 Inc. to operate the restaurant at the new location. Rustico's ownership will continue to maintain the liquor license at 722 Lake Street under the corporate name Medicova, LLC, and the owners plan to operate a new restaurant at that location under a different concept and name.

Rustico seeks the issuance of a Restaurant Class B-4 liquor license for its new location at 155 S. Oak Park Avenue. The new location will allow Rustico to increase the size of its restaurant while maintaining its same general menu and operation. At its June 27, 2023 regular meeting, the Liquor Control Review Board unanimously voted to recommend that the ordinance be adopted granting Rustico a B-4 license.
