Overview
The Fire Department issued an Invitation to BID on May 15, 2023. The bid process produced three (3) bids, of which Air One Equipment, Inc. had the lowest price for the exact product listed. Staff is recommending that Air One Equipment, Inc. be selected as the vendor for the Fire Department to purchase fire hoses as needed during the 2023 fiscal year.

Background
Firefighting hose has a typical in-service life of between 15 and 25 years. The last major fire hose purchase before 2022 was in 1998. Considering the amount of fire hose the Fire Department needs in service, the plan is to replace the majority within FY22-FY24. This is year two of this program.
The Fire Department issued an Invitation to BID on May 15, 2023. The bid process produced three (3) bids, of which Air One Equipment, Inc. had the lowest price for the exact product listed.
This order includes 50 lengths of Snap-Tite Ponn Gladiator 1.75”x 50’, and 30 lengths of Snap-Tite LHD UTX 4”x 100’.
