Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

This project includes designing a new and improved ventilation system for the Police Department Firing Range in the lower level of Village Hall. Due to delays in the project schedule resulting in additional consultant fees, an amendment to the agreement with Clark Dietz, Inc. to a new amount of $41,500.00 is being requested.

Background
On May 18, 2020, the Village Board approved a Professional Services Agreement with Clark Dietz, Inc. to provide mechanical engineering services for the Police Department Firing Range Ventilation Improvements Project for an amount not to exceed $35,000.00. This project included designing a new mechanical system that meets current firing range standards and requirements. The previous system did not provide sufficient ventilation and airflow.

On September 8, 2020, the Village Board approved an Independent Contractor Agreement with Master Design Build, LLC to install the new mechanical system. The project substantial completion date was supposed to be December 31, 2020, but due to various delays caused by the contractor, the project was not completed on time. As a result, the consultant spent additional time on project management and progress monitoring, and the added cost exceeded the previously approved amount by $6,500.00.
