Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Background
The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus opened the Low Income Energy Efficiency Outreach and Engagement grant opportunity to support local governments and community-based organizations in the ComEd service territory. Grants will be up to $25,000 to support outreach and education to low-income households to help them understand the benefits of energy efficiency and guide them to the tools and resources that can help them save energy and money.
The Village currently offers energy efficiency grants and helps connect eligible households to Utility programs and services. In 2026, the Village will launch the Energy Efficiency One Stop Shop (CROP action BD06). This grant will help with education and outreach and connect low-income households in the Village to these resources.
Timing Considerations
The grant application was submitted on November 5 and grant awards are anticipated in mid-November.
Budget Impact
The grant request is in the amount of $25,000. These funds will go toward activities typically funded in GL 2310.41020.101.570852.0000.
Staffing Impact
There is minimal staff impact associated with this item. The proposed activities are in line with those currently planned for 2026 energy efficiency and one stop shop programs. Additional staff time will be required for grant administration.
