The Board has taken the following prior action(s):
* On July 22, 2025, the Village Board approved and authorized the renewal of an omitted pawnshop license for 2025.

Background
Pursuant to Article 48, the Police Chief has been advised that the review and investigation of the applications for pawnbroker licenses have been completed and authorizes the issuance of licenses to the Oak Park Pawn Shop, LLC dba A-1 American Jewelers & Loan (6151 North Avenue), Cash America Inc, of Illinois dba Cash America Pawn (6303 North Avenue), and Irving Park Jewelry & Coins, Inc dba Hollywood Pawners (6147 North Avenue)
A copy of the Police Chief's annual Pawn Shop Report Summary is attached. To date in 2025, there have been a total of 15 calls for service at our three local pawn shops. Out of those 15 calls for service, 9 were calls other than routine premise checks, or duplicate events. These 9 calls for service are outlined in the attached report. The number is lower than 42 calls for service reported in the first nine months of 2024. No enforcement action was taken by the police department or Village against any of the listed businesses.
