This is A Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement Between the Villages of Oak Park, River Forest, Forest Park, and Rosemont. This Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement, through Public Act 104-0457 (70 ILCS 3615/2.48), provides each of the listed local governments the ability to seek reimbursement from the Chicago Transit Authority for first responder services delivered to the Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line or Green Line within the parties’ respective corporate boundaries.

Background
Part of the recently passed NITA (Northern Illinois Transit Authority) Act includes annual reimbursements from NITA for municipalities providing first responder services along the Blue and Green Lines.
Timing Considerations
Section 2.48(b) of Public Act 104-0457 (70 ILCS 3615/2.48(b)) requires submission of an itemized billing statement from the Parties to be submitted to the Chicago Transit Authority by January 15 of each calendar year. Payment to the Village must be provided no later than February 6, following the Village’s submission of expenses.
