Overview
Overview
The Engineering Division requested a proposal from V3 Companies to provide traffic engineering for analyzing the Madison Street corridor traffic data to determine recommendations for any traffic calming on Jackson, Washington, side streets adjacent to Madison, and any signal timing modifications. In 2019 the Village implemented a road diet on Madison reducing the number of traffic lanes to improve pedestrian and bike safety, encouraging redevelopment along Madison, and changing the character of the street. V3 will review pre and post-road diet traffic data and crash history to determine where any potential traffic calming should be implemented on side streets or parallel streets. V3 will also review traffic data to see if there should be any changes to traffic signal timing plans on Madison.
