Background
Pursuant to Article 48, the Police Chief has been advised that the review and investigation of the applications for pawnbroker licenses have been completed and authorizes the issuance of licenses to the following three applicants: 1.) Irving Park Jewelry & Coin, Inc. d/b/a Hollywood Pawners (6147 North Avenue).

A copy of the Police Chief's annual Pawn Shop Report Summary is attached. To date in 2024, there have been a total of 42 calls for service at the three local pawn shop locations. This number is the same as calls for service reported during the same time period in 2023. No enforcement action was taken by the Police Department or Village against any of the listed businesses. From January 1, 2024, through September 26, 2024, the Police Department did not recover any stolen property from the businesses in question.
