Regular Village Board meetings are typically held at 7:00 p.m., the first three Tuesdays of each month in Council Chambers of Village Hall (room 201), 123 Madison St. When a Regular Meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting typically is held the following night. The Village Board also meets in special sessions from time to time. However, dates and times of Special Meetings can vary and may change.

Fiscal Impact
The Recommended FY 2021 Budget includes $184,500 in funding for the Oak Park Area Arts Council (Account # 1001.46260.233.585652).

Consistent with Village staff, FY 2021 salary and benefit increases were eliminated for partners which receive a majority of funding from the Village (either for cost of living adjustments or merit tied to performance).

Background
The Oak Park Area Arts Council was founded in 1974 by local artists as the Civic Arts Council of Oak Park. It became a non-profit agency in 1976. The mission of the Oak Park Area Arts Council is to celebrate, support and promote artists and art organizations in Oak Park, River Forest and Forest Park by raising funds for the arts, advocating for policies that promote art and enhance the social, economic and cultural foundations of the communities they service. The 2021 service agreement calls for OPAAC to continue assuming the duties of the Oak Park Public Arts Advisory Commission, to administer an Arts Funds Grant Program supporting local artists and arts organizations, to produce and distribute the e-Art Newsletter, to promote public art through the administration of a mini-mural program, and the Off the Wall program, to act as a resource for the local arts community, and to implement the community wide strategic plan for the arts.
