Attached is the implementation guide for the Village Board Goals for 2021-2023 updated with a dashboard of the current status of work related to the implementation plan.

Background
Historically after an election with new members of the Village Board, goals are established. The goals inform the staff's work in developing budget recommendations for the upcoming fiscal year.
While the Board may have adopted a goal, if dedicated funding is required to achieve the goal, implementation will be dependent upon approval of the necessary budget appropriations. In some cases, the Board may determine preliminary recommendations of staff should be referred to a Village Board Committee or a citizen commission for further review and recommendation back to the Village Board.
Staff prepared and presented to the Village Board on June 24, 2021, and July 6, 2021, a twelve-month implementation guide for the Goals. Pursuant to the adopted Village Board Protocols, a report on the Board Goals is to be included on the consent agenda each month. Staff is preparing this item for the second meeting of each month.
The report is based upon the implementation plan and designates action steps that have been completed and color codes future actions as follows:
Green - on track as scheduled in the implantation plan
Yellow - possible delay in the schedule as identified in the implantation with the description of the delay
Blue - action step identified in Goal has been completed
Red - action step identified in Goal will not be completed due to Board direction (e.g. funding not appropriated in the budget)
