Introduction
overview
As directed by the Village Board at the October 14, 2025 and November 11, 2025 Board Meetings, this Ordinance established all-way stop controls at the Clinton and Lexington intersection as part of a traffic calming petition process and requires northbound traffic on Belleforte Avenue and Forest Avenue to stop at their intersections at Greenfield Street as part of the northwest Oak Park traffic study recommendations.

* The Village Board approved a Motion to Concur with the Transportation Commission's Recommendations for Traffic Calming at Clinton Avenue and Lexington Street and Direct Staff to Prepare the Necessary Ordinance to Upgrade the Intersection to an All-Way Stop on November 11, 2025 (MOT 25-256).
* The Village Board approved a Motion to Concur with the Transportation Commission's Recommendations for Traffic Calming as part of the Northwest Oak Park Traffic Study and Direct Staff to Prepare the Necessary Ordinances on October 14, 2025 (MOT 25-247)
Background
This Ordinance establishes all way stop control at the Clinton and Lexington intersection which was a recommendation from the Transportation Commission as part of a traffic calming petition for this intersection which was approved by the Village Board at the November 11th meeting. This Ordinance also establishes Stop signs for northbound traffic on both Forest Avenue and Belleforte Avenues at their intersections with Greenfield Street which was a recommendation as part of a traffic study of the northwest art of the Village.
